macOS Monterey 12.4 システム環境設定 (System Preferences) の個人的な設定を備忘録ついでにご紹介します。

前提条件

macOS Monterey 12.4

初回起動まで

Wi-Fi 接続

その場で使える Wi−Fi 環境があるなら、最初に接続しておきましょう。

Dark モード

個人の好みの問題ですが、ソフトウェアエンジニアなので Dark モードを選択しました。

Apple ID へログイン

macOS 起動後の初期設定する前に、Apple ID へログインします。

Apple ID へログインできないと OS Update やアプリのインストールなど色々と必要なので、パスワード管理ツールへ最初にログインします。

• Start after: Never

Dock

• Position on screen: Left
• ☑️ Automatically hide and show the Dock

Language & Region

• Time format: ☑️ 24-Hour Time

Security & Privacy

General

• Require password immediately after sleep or screen saver begins

FileVault

• Turn On FileVault...

• ? Set up my iCloud account to reset my password

Firewall

• Firewall: On

• Enable stealth mode

Notifications

Do not Disturb

• ☑️ When the display is sleeping
• ☑️ When mirroring to TVs and projectors

Built in Retina Display

Display

• Automatically adjust brightness のチェックを外す

Keyboard

Keyboard

• Key Repeat: Fast
• Delay Until Repeat: Short

Modifier Keys

• Caps Lock Key: Control

Text

• Use smart quotes and dashes のチェックを外す

Shortcuts

• ☑️ Select the previous input source
• ☑️ Select next source in Input menu

Input Sources

デフォルト以外には Google 日本語入力 の Hiragana のみを追加しています。

Trackpad

Point & Click

• ☑️ Tap to click
• Tracking speed: Fast

Software Update

• ☑️ Automatically keep my Mac up to date

Bluetooth

• Bluetooth: Off
• ☑️ Show Bluetooth in menu bar

Date & Time

Clock

• ☑️ Show date and time in menu bar

Date options:

• ☑️ Show the day of the week
• ☑️ Show date
