I researched how to add Windows 7 applications to the Mac application folder in VMware Fusion 5, so here’s a memo.

【Step 1】Please start VMware Fusion.

【Step 2】Please open Menu Bar > Virtual Machine > Settings > Default Applications.

【Step 3】Please check “Run Windows applications from Mac Applications folder”.

【Step 4】Please start the guest OS.

【Step 5】Select Menu Bar > View > Unity. > The Windows desktop screen disappears and only the open Windows windows are displayed.

【Step 6】Select the application you want to add from Menu Bar > VMware Fusion icon > All Programs and launch it. > It will also be displayed in the Mac Dock.

【Step 7】Long press the application displayed in the Dock > A menu will appear > Select “Add to Mac Applications Folder”. > It will be added to the Applications folder.

※By performing this operation, you can search using macOS 10.7 Lion’s Launchpad and Spotlight.
